Flock of Yellowhammers, oil on canvas
One of the features of the Lincolnshire Wolds is yellowhammers. During my stays in the Wolds I’ve been fortunate enough to see quite a few of these delightful birds. This painting depicts the scene at the top of a hawthorn tree as yellowhammers flocked together in the Autumn sunshine.
