I could ‘feel’ the history when I painted this tiny church, which was rebuilt by the Victorians in 1842. It has an octagonal west tower, and still retains its 1637 bell, and 15th Century font.
This painting is one of a series of small oils on panel that I have painted during my ongoing residency at Oxcombe Pottery and farm in the Lincolnshire Wolds.
