The Mistle Thrush stands tall and sings.
This beautiful bird is one of our bigger songbirds, and one of the most tuneful of them all.
I’ve often seen them standing on the top of the tallest tree at a field margin with their melodic songs flowing out across the surrounding open fields.
This painting is inspired by those and many other sightings of the handsome mistle thrush.
